Kendall and Michelle Wiley

We made Seward Alaska our summer home when we purchased the old Saltwater Lodge and decided that providing Resurrection Bay Alaska Lodging was going to be our life transition job. Summer 2017 came, and we were open for our first season. Since then its been a labor of love, we are truly fortunate to do what we love to do. We get to meet people from all over the world who choose to spend a few days of their Alaska adventure with us. We hope we will get the opportunity to meet you too. Kendall and Michelle Waxahachie, TX

Kendall & Michelle

So how did we get here? In 1994 Kendall’s mother passed away and so he decided that it was time to find his biological roots. Where it lead was to Alaska. Here he found three siblings, a brother who lived in Anchorage and two sisters living in Seward. After talking with them we decided it was time to meet. In the summer of 1996 we made the trip up from Texas and so the love affair for Alaska began. Over the next 20 years we made the trip up almost every other year. We were always looking for an excuse to buy a summer home here but didn’t know it was going to be a working lodge.

In the winter of 2016 we received a call from Kendall’s niece telling us that this lodge was up for sale and did we have a interest in it. The deal was done before we ever sat foot on the property. It was an easy decision since Michelle is a fishing fanatic and for Kendall it was just being in Alaska.
