Their tours allow folks to ice climb and ice hie directly on the surface of local glaciers. Our two main playgrounds are Exit Glacier and Godwin Glacier, where we either hike in or approach by helicopter. Our unique private helicopter exploration tours allow you to experience the ice on your own terms. They also offer alpine hiking trips and alpine mountineering  clinics.

Visit Kenai Fjords National Park’s Exit Glacier

With just a 10 to 15 minute drive out of Seward, you can hike right up to the Kenai Fjords National Park’s Exit Glacier and experience the dense blue ice while listening to it crackle. Where many cruises embark and disembark, Exit Glacier is one of the most popular road-accessible glaciers in the state. The well-developed trails here have good footing and interpretive signs, explaining the return of plant life after the ice.  FREE!

Tonsina Point Hike

Begin this beautiful hike less than 2 miles from the Lodge! Hiking begins at the parking lot near the trailhead for the Caines Head Coastal Trail. You’ll hike out to the Salmon stream and through various elevations as you descend to the beach and creek. It is a great hike, easy to plan and do on your own without a guide. Plan about 2 to 3 hours to give you plenty of time to enjoy the scenery. There are many other area hikes for all levels as well. Find info on this trail and others in the page below.

Take in the Murals of Seward

Since 2008, Seward has proudly held the title of the “Mural Capital of Alaska,” attributed to the creation of 12 expansive murals by talented local artists. Throughout the town, you can witness firsthand the transformation that led to this esteemed recognition. These murals beautifully portray iconic local landscapes such as Exit Glacier and Kenai Fjords National Park, alongside commemorating historical milestones like the Alaska Railroad, with Seward serving as its southern terminus. Additionally, they capture significant events like the Iditarod and the renowned Mt. Marathon race. The embedded video captures one of these fabulous murals being created.
